Inaugurated by the Engadine Dragons JRLFC in 1971, it was metropolitan knockout competition for Under 7's. It is now established as probably the best and certainly the most entertaining knockout competition in NSW.

Tommy Bishop Shield Champ's REVESBY HEIGHTS JRLFC played a total of 7 games before their line was crossed for a try.
Revesby Heights went through the Tommy Bishop Shield with a game plan that was simple. Stop 'em before they get to our line !.
What a fantastic plan, and it worked well enough to earn them selves the Title of TOMMY BISHOP SHIELD 2006 CHAMPIONS.
The runners up were the Minchinbury Jets, who scored 8 points against the magnificent Revesby Heights Defence.

REVESBY HEIGHTS have won the annual Tommy Bishop Shield today after battleing their way through 27 other football teams to record a good win on Shark Park this afternoon.
The Mighty Kurnell Stingrays finished in the quarter finals of Div 2 and were the highest placed local side.

LITTLE SHARKS TO DO BATTLE FOR THE TOMMY BISHOP SHIELD |
Sunday 17th Sept, '06 - After being washed out last Sunday, the annual Tommy Bishop Shield for under-7's teams will be held this Sunday and Endeavour Field and on Toyota Park.
A total of 28 teams, six from the local district, with the remainder coming from all over the Sydney metropolitan area and from country areas, will contest the event.
The first games will kick off at 8.30am, with the final scheduled for around 3.00pm. |

So far 28 teams have registered to play this years Annual Tommy Bishop Shield this Sunday at Endeavour Ovals.
The event is hosted by the Cronulla- Sutherland DJRLF. Defending Champions Mascot PS will be looking for back to back titles after a terrific footy season.
Local team the Mighty Yarrawarrah Tigers have swept all before them in 2006 and are biting at the bit to get on the footy ground. BRING IT ON. |

THE SUTHERLAND SHIRE IS ABOUT TO BE INVADED BY 100's OF TOURING JUNIOR RUGBY STARS OF THE FUTURE. |
28/08 Teams from all over Sydney are coming to the Sutherland Shire on the 10 th of September 2006. The TOMMY BISHOP SHIELD is an Under 7's Competition run by the CSDJRFL and is open to all comers in Sydney.
So far there have been a few teams confirm they will be playing at Shark Park, including defending TOMMY BISHOP SHIELD CHAMPIONS : MASCOT JUNIORS ..2006 will see local champions the Yarrawarrah TIGERS roaring to play in their local tounament after a great footy season.. Learn More |

LOCALS HOPING Yarrawarrah TIGERS CAN GO ONE BETTER IN 2006
Last years TOMMY BISHOP SHIELD Runners-up AQUINAS COLTS were the first Cronulla Junior League Team in 20 years to go on to and play in the final of the Tommy Bishop Shield.
So there are a few people in the Shire confident that the Tigers can go 1 better this year to become the 1st Cronulla Junior side since the ENGADINE DRAGONS were champions in 1982,.. to WIN the Tommy BISHOP Cup in 2006 .. GO YOU GOOD THINGS !!! (thanks mick m) |

Congratulations to the 7 Blues who will be playing in the Tommy Bishop Shield this year. They were presented with their South Sydney jumpers at this Sunday's Souths v Cowboys match at Telstra Stadium. Well done boys!! |
Yarrawarrah TIGERS PLAY FOR SHIRE
Keep the 10th of September free if you can because that is the day that our all conqureing under 7s will take on the rest of Sydney in the Tommy Bishop shield. Its a big ask for the boys playing against the best under 7 teams from across Sydney. Under 7s is a great brand of footy to watch so come on guys lets get behind the little Tigers and cheer them on.
