Parramatta Sports School Challenge 19/6/06 |
Westfields Sports was drawn against Hills Sports in the annual Parramatta Sports School Challenge held at Guildford on Wednesday 19/6/06. The 13’s, U14’s, U15’s and U16’s squads participated in the competition. Westfields Sports won 2 and lost 2.
U13’s Westfields Sports 14 Hills Sports 16
Westfields Sports were beaten in a close encounter. This was the first time the squad had played together. Good performances were noted by David Klemmer and AJ Poko.
U14’s Westfields Sports 14 Hills Sports 12
Another close encounter. Westfields failed to convert a number of opportunities and really should have won more comfortably. This win also counted as a Buckley Shield game. Westfields remain undefeated in this competition.
U15’s Westfields Sports 36 Hills Sports 16
An excellent performance. After having 4 NSWCHS representatives this year from this squad, they have continued to develop and play well. Some new players have also joined this Westfields Sports squad this year and they have added strength to the side. Olomanu Usini was the standout player of this game.
U16’s Westfields Sports 6 Hills Sports 13
Westfields Sports carried a lot of injuries into this game, we gave it our all but were unlucky. The squad should be stronger for the State Knockout. Strong performances by Sama Sauvao, Simon Teaupa, Uiva Logoifiti.
