The Robert Stone Award will once again be presented to a school that has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship or have overcome obstacles during 2006.Robert was a great player for the St George Dragons and he was also a primary school teacher for twenty three years – in this time he was heavily involved in school sport and in particular, rugby league. Robert was President of the NSW Rugby League Schools Council for six years as well as holding positions like coach and manager of district, regional and state PSSA teams. It is fitting that Robert’s life be celebrated on the same day as the Legends Shield Final. |
