Kyle BURKHARDT is a 16 year old year 11 student from Queenslander who goes to St. Brendans College Yappoon.

Kyle was very good in our interview, he was very informative & polite & is a great ambassator for his school.

1. HOW'S LIFE KYLE ?
Yeah pretty good, pretty cruisey

2. WHAT SCHOOL DO YOU GO TO ?
St. Brendans College Yappoon

3. YAPPOON, WHERE IS THAT?
Yappoon is about 1/2 an hour east of Rockhampton here in Queensland.

4. WHAT DO YOU LIKE AT SCHOOL?
Boarding, sports classes, man up classes ( WHAT IS MAN UP CLASSES? ) Oh yeah, so its like woodwork.

5. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE SPORTS ?
I only play league, i have been playing rugby league since grade 7, i use to play union & soccer

6. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS?
FOOTY TEAM - Cronulla as they have signed me up,
MUSIC - I'm into stuff like Jack Jones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, not into all that rap stuff tho'
MOVIES - can't say i watch too many movies, i'm usually too busy training, mucking around outside and just being with me mates. There is always something to do out doors

7. WHAT WAS THE TOUGHEST GAME YOU HAVE PLAYED IN THIS YEAR?
The QLD Vs NSW Under 16's game at Telstra before the 1st State of Origin was the toughest, it was a very fast & physical game, i loved playing in it.

8. IN THE NSW VS QLD UNDER 16'S GAME, WHAT WAS IT LIKE PLAYING ON TELSTRA?
Yeah it was a good experience, it was very loud, the crowd was really loud when anything happened. Telstra was very slippery too, just sorta like slippery.

9. WHO WERE A COUPLE OF THE BEST QUEENSLAND PLAYERS IN YOUR TEAM?
Our 2nd rower Corbin Simms & our half back Ben Hampton were real good

10. WHO WERE A COUPLE OF THE BEST NSW PLAYERS IN YOUR GAME?
Their half back Harry Seijka was real handy, very handy & William Hopaote is a super star, he was their danger man

11. DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE REP GAMES THIS YEAR?
Nah, no more club rep games, there are plenty of school footy coming up tho' we have the Confra Shield & the Arrive alive Cup coming soon too

12. WHICH FOOTY TEAM IS YOUR FOOTY TEAM?
I play for Rockhampton Brothers & also my school, St. Brendans College

13. WHAT POSITION DO YOU PLAY ?
# 11. I play 2nd row

14. WHAT POSITION DO YOU PERFER TO PLAY IN?
The 2nd ROW, i love it. I love doing the hard yards & gettin down & dirty

15. HOW'S SCHOOL FOOTY GOING?
GOOD, we are undefeated in our local school comp, we have made the finals of the Con Shield & we are in the finals of the Super 8's

16. DO YOU THINK THAT ST. BRENDANS CAN BEAT MACKAY SHS THIS YEAR?
Yeah, we already beat them to get into the final of the super 8's, they are a good side, it was a good 1st half with both schools close, our coach really got up us at half time, we came out in the 2nd half with a better attitude.

MACKAY SHS WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY ABOUT LOSING ? lol, nah they were spewing

17. WE HEAR YOU ARE COMING TO SYDNEY NEXT YEAR?
Ah nah, not next year, hopefully at the end of 2009 and i hope to be playing in the Toyota Cup Under 20's competition.

18. HOW LONG HAVE THE SHARKS SIGNED YOU UP FOR?
They have signed me for 2 years, they wanted it to be for 3 years, but after talking to my parents and that i decided to go for the 2 years, they have 1st option after that. Go the Sharkies

19. WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE YOUR BEST ASSETS PLAYING FOOTY?
Dunno, I just love getting in there, the tackles, good hard runs & just always trying to get all the 1% ers right I suppose

20. WILL YOU BE GOING TO SCHOOL DOWN HERE?
No, I will finish my schooling here at St. Brendans
