The Cash Converters WA Reds today came out winners in their only SG Ball trial against the Melbourne Storm before the season opener against North Sydney Bears next week .

The WA Reds travelled away to Melbourne to play the trial, the opportunity to give the team a strong hit out before the season and get the team prepared for the rigours of interstate traveling could prove invaluable.

The game could have gone either way with both teams exchanging the lead at various times of the game. However it was the WA Reds who took the spoils when South Perth’s ‘Zip Zip’ man Jordan Jacob scored the winning try on the bell. Final score 20 – 18

Today’s win is a great lead in to the North Sydney clash next week at nib Stadium. The WA Reds will play the curtin raiser to the NRL trial between the Dragons and Cowboys.
