The home side, were the first to strike opening the account in the 6th minute with Kyle Stanley crossing wide out.
Johnny Nicholas added the extras and Endeavour were up 6-0. Off the kick off Endeavour failed to stop the ball and it rolled dead.
It cost Endeavour with Westfields taking full advantage and crossing under the post.
A good set with the ball and a good off load in the middle of the field put Westfields in front 10-6 with an easy kick, conversion successful.
Some very tough defence from Endeavour kept Westfields on their 20 and forced an error. A controversial decision by the referee called what seemed to be a great ball called a forward pass.
A good set in defence enabled Endeavour to be on the attack in Westfields half. A lovely little chip and chase set Kyle Stanley up for his 2nd try and on the stroke of half time leveled his team when the try was converted at half time it was 12 all.
An interception and a great 75 metre try by No. 14 put Endeavour in front with a simple conversion by Levi Dodd
put the score to 18-12.
A fancy little step and jink by Levi Dodd and then a great ball inside to Joel Johnson who scored next to the sticks and Captain Mathew Bassett converted in the last minute of play.
Levi Dodd copped off a good and dominating match for Endeavour by scoring the winning try and Endeavour won the match 28-12 after declining to take the last kick. |
